Dr. Mary Dinauer Named New Scientific Director
The Children’s Discovery Institute is proud to welcome Mary Dinauer, MD, PhD, as our Scientiﬁc Director. Dr. Dinauer will also serve as the Fred M. Saigh Distinguished Chair in Pediatric Research.
In her new role with the Institute, Dr. Dinauer will shape the direction of basic and clinical studies and work to raise funds for ongoing research. Dr. Dinauer is an internationally recognized pediatric hematologist and oncologist, with special expertise in the molecular mechanisms of innate immunity, inflammatory responses, and the development and function of white blood cells.
She received her MD and PhD from the University of Chicago, and was a Fellow at Harvard Medical School, Boston Children’s Hospital, and the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. Most recently, Dr. Dinauer was Nora Letzter Professor of Pediatrics at Indiana University School of Medicine.
