The Children’s Discovery Institute began as a vision of key leaders at St. Louis Children’s Hospital and Washington University School of Medicine.  These leaders dreamed of launching a research institute where scientists from multiple disciplines could work collaboratively to focus their expertise on discovering cures to deadly and crippling childhood diseases.
